Directions to Protea Farm - Montagu GPS Co-ordinates S 33 42.168 E 019 52.937'

From Cape Town  Take the N1 towards Worcester.  Option 1 Stay on N1, pass Worcester through the Hex Valley (De Doorns) up the Hex River pass.  50 km from Worcester, look out for the sign R318 to Montagu. Turn right towards Montagu.  Stay on the R318 for another 50 km.  You will go down a pass called Rooihoogte into the Koo valley. Drive through the valley.  You will find the farm entrance on the right hand side of the road.  This is just before Burgers Pass.   Option 2 Turn right at Worcester follow the signs to the R62, towards Robertson, continue in the direction of Ashton and then Montagu.  Once in Montagu, turn left and then the first right into Bath Street, (road towards the Avalon Springs).  You will pass the police station on the right hand side.  Keep on theR318.  At the top of the Burgers Pass (29 km from Montagu) you will see farm entrance on the left hand side  Note Either of the above is the same distance though option 1 might save you bit of time.
